Health Missions is traveling to Peru in May 2025 for the first time.
A team of doctors will make a week-long trip to Peru to serve communities there.
Health Missions is a non-profit organization and a joint project between OneChiropractic and AlignLife, which is committed to spreading the word worldwide about chiropractic through mission trips.
OneChiropractic founder and CEO Bharon Hoag said the Health Missions trip to Peru from May 5 to May 12, 2025, would further establish good footprints for chiropractic. “We are excited to continue to spread chiropractic to the rest of the world where it does not already exist. Peru is a new location for us, and we can’t wait to make an impact there.”
The trip will offer participants the chance to make tangible differences in the lives of individuals and families, gain hands-on experience in a global health setting, and connect with professionals who share a passion for service.
Participants will first visit the Scared Valley and offer chiropractic to residents in Potatoes Park, the Huiloc community, the floating island of Chimu, and the Liquina Chico community.
The group will also experience a sound healing ceremony at the Cuyo Chico community, explore Machu Picchu, and participate in the Yanapanakuy, a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily life and traditional practice of Minka, by participating in voluntary work for purposes of social utility and community infrastructure projects.
Those on the trip will also make the scenic journey from Cusco to Puno, covering 400km of Andean towns, herds of camelids, and views of snow-capped mountains. They will spend the night in Chucuito before transferring to Lima and stopping at Sillustani to see a burial site of cylindrical-like tombs called Chulpas.
AlignLife founder Dr. Joseph Esposito launched Health Missions in 2004. In 2021, the non-profit became a OneChiropractic project. Dr. Joseph was one of six chiropractors who traveled to Colombia on a Health Missions trip in May this year.
